David Close is one of the league's all time best shooters. He shoots over 40% on his career and he shoots a handy percentage from the field. Onbe starnge thing about David Close is his 58% free throw percentage for his career. This one of the lowest percentages in league history and considering Close's great touch it is a strange thing to happen. Close had his most successful NBL season in 1995 when playing for the Canberra Cannons Close averaged 15ppg, 3.8apg and 3.2rpg while shooting 42% from outside the arc. After a year in Australian basketball purgatory (the CBA) Close gets a chance with Giants, he will most likely back up their import guard or Matt Shanahan.
